This presentation shares an exciting new activity in which students improve physical fitness while learning self-responsibility, social interaction, and group dynamics. Adventure CORE uses the basic ideas of adventure racing and can be done at any school without expensive equipment. Students compete in teams of 2 to 5 to complete a predetermined course that is filled with obstacles along the way. By using teamwork, problem solving skills and fitness abilities, teams work their way through the course to the finish line. Races can be made different every time, so students remain excited to complete new challenges.
